I meant that, it is my belief that if you subscribe to self-published stories via the ‘email subscription’ function, you automatically opt-in to share your email address for the export list. Since then, I’ve come to find that there is an option to “Receive emails from writers you’ve subscribed to when they publish stories” in the settings. This appears to be the “Opt-in” function. But it’s still unclear if you can subscribe to get story links without using the opt-in function. That is, if you turned off the “receive email” setting, presumably you wouldn’t be able to get any emailed story links. This is something I hope to clarify.
